For the past 5 years the idea/desire to run 7 marathons in 7 days on 7 different continents has been at the back of my mind. All because I, on a raining autumn day, went to hear Sir Ranulph Fiennes speak, and was completely taken aback by his achievements. The likelihood of me crossing the South Pole any time soon is probably rather slim, but one thing which occurred to me during the speech was that as I love running, I could attempt to be the first woman in the world to run 7 marathons in 7 days on 7 different continents.
On top of the training and the running I have decided to raise money for a private charity, the Adam Rogers Trust.
I have contacted Guinness Book of Records and they have confirmed my record attempt.
I will be the first woman to attempt to run 7 marathons in 7 days on 7 different continents and take it very seriously.
Failure is simply NOT an option.
I am 36 years old and originally from Denmark. For the past 7 years I have lived and worked in London. I currently work for Rogge Global Partners Plc.
My training has been designed by Juan Pablo Garcia, a personal trainer specialised in running, who has a long track record with long distance running and participated in several marathons himself.
